Meet our Leadership

Chris Parton leads the organization’s business growth initiatives and focuses on expanding BARBRI’s market share in the US.  He provides leadership the sales teams and is responsible for the overall success of client onboarding and engagement.  Chris is passionate about applying innovation and to create value for BARBRI’s customers and helping legal learners achieve their goals.

Chris’s commitment to legal education goes back to when he was a student at The University of Texas School of Law and was employed by Thomson Reuters Westlaw. After law school, Chris held leadership roles in Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Content and Product Development for Thomson Reuters. Chris also served as the General Manager of the law school division for several years before leading the process to divest the business.

Chris was named CEO of West Academic after the sale in 2013 and successfully led the business as a standalone entity for nine years until December of 2021 when West Academic joined the BARBRI family.

Chris earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and his B.B.A. from Stephen F. Austin State University.
