How is the course delivered?
BARBRI SQE2 Prep provides practitioner expertise in practical transactions and legal skills. BARBRI tells you the criteria and standards to which you are being assessed, shows you how to undertake the task and provides multiple practice opportunities to hone your skills.
The BARBRI SQE2 Prep course is delivered part-time and there is an option of a 10 or 20 week course. The next course starts in June 2023, preparing for an October 2023 exam. Delivered entirely online, our course has been designed to fit in with your lifestyle, enabling you to study alongside full-time work.

Prior to the start of the SQE2 prep course, you’ll be given a full set of printed materials for your studies. The short workbook is written exclusively by our expert tutors specifically for the subjects examined in the SQE2. It acts as a supplement to the main course content which focuses on skills development which you will practise through the online activities.

Your SQE2 Prep study process
The course is broken down into a staged process, designed to build onto its various components to help you get through the material in a systematic way.
Before you start the SQE2 course, and throughout its duration, you will have access to BARBRI SQE1 substantive Study Guides and lectures, so you can maintain and refresh your legal knowledge throughout the SQE2 course.
You will also be allocated a tutor who will support you along the way, and you will receive face-to-face assessments and feedback on some of the skills activities with a member of the BARBRI tutor team. They will also lead regular workshops covering study and exam tips and advice.
1. Skills Explanations
You will start off with the Skills Explanations. BARBRI SQE2 Prep has the best faculty in exam preparation, consisting of experienced solicitors and barristers qualified in England and Wales, who will explain how to master the skills required to succeed in SQE2. The Skills Explanations, available as interview-style lectures, are wholly examination-driven, and are carefully crafted to fully interpret the exam criteria and give you tips in how to succeed.
2. Workbooks
BARBRI will be providing you with a short workbook to supplement the skills explanations.
3. Scaffolding Activities
These are guided interactive learning activities which will take the knowledge you have gained watching the Skills Explanations and reading the Workbook and apply it to an exam style scenario. Each activity breaks down the different steps you’ll need to master each skill assessed in SQE2.
4. Self-Practice
With our self-practice activities, you get the opportunity to have a go at doing a whole exam question yourself. You’ll receive instant access to self-assessment materials so you can confidently review your own work. You’ll find out how you’re doing, where you can improve, and you’ll even have the chance to mark your peers’ work and have them mark yours, too.
5. Practice Feedback
This is the most valuable asset on the SQE2 course. You have the opportunity to get individual personalised feedback from a BARBRI assessor in every skill assessed in SQE2 through Practice Feedback Activities.
6. Mock Exams
Before you sit SQE2, you’ll complete mock assessments and receive personal feedback from a BARBRI assessor in each skill and subject assessed in SQE2.
